im just wandering what type of fuel economy u guys get for a full tank with ur 351 on the highway and city use and what type of car do u have

Worked 377 Cleveland in an XD ranges between 200km tank to 400km tank, Fairmont Ghia so it's an 80L tank. 200k's flooring it and dragging around town, 450k's on a highway cruise @ 100km/h.

That's 7mpg worst to 16mpg best. Best I ever got with a near standard 351 ( just carb and exhaust) motor was 21mpg.

Sounds about right.
My XD 351 ute is getting about 250km to a tank, and that's driving very conservatively. I must get around to putting a kit through the carby one of these days. They aren't the most fuel efficient donk around, but geeze they sound good!

I get 17.5 mpg. It's in an XC ute but mind you, I drive fairly conservatively. It has also been fully reconditioned and is completely standard including the carter carb. Not sure of total out of a tank.

I have a 351C in a XD ute.
600 vac, performer, ext, 2.5", 10:1, TQ20, C4, 4.00:1 LSD
Does 300-350 km out of a 63 or 68L tank on the highway and
250-300 km around town.
Aroung town varies because 0-100kph in 6 sec flat. Loves those red lights.
At the drags 14.453 secs at 97.71mph exh up and street tyres.

XE Sedan, roughly 500kms to a tank, maybe a bit more.

I used to get around 300-350k's per tank from my 351 in my XB sedan. I was running a 3500rpm histall and 4.11 gears.

Don't know what the economy will be like know?? Everythings changed.

yeah thanks guys that what i wanted to know. im getting 200-250 for city use which seems to be about average so it does not drink like a fish then

Sounds about right - I was getting 400kms on the highway out of my beloved XC 302 GXL manual (before the 5 speed went in). I never checked what the economy was around town as I was too scared (drove it for 20 years - now off the road to be rebuilt)
