What would the minimum fuel pressure be under prolonged WOT? I have a standard mech pump and appears to be leaning out at full load.

NFI. But in another thread recently it was generally agreed that mechanical pumps can't keep up after 5000 rpm. Mine had leaned out to 14.4 A/F ratio by 6900.

Thats why an electric pump and 1/2" line with regulator are being installed tomorrow. Then its off to the dyno again shortly to crack that magical 250rwkw figure.

My old mech which was brand new dropped @ 5800rpm. Then it'd start detonating. It was no fun @ all.

[edit] 4PSI absolute worst. If it drops below that? It's time for an electric pump.

Agree with Brenden, a good pump should stay between 5-6.5 psi for a street car. The standard mechanical is only about 4psi at idle.

If I fit an elec pump and say 1/2 inch fuel line where would the 1/2 inch line attach to the tank as the tank outlet is only 5/16 inch on a XA tank?
