Has anyone seen the green GT HO replica in the latest Street Machine mag ?, it is running in the pre "73 era racing, the rules state oringinal specs must be used, which means no stroking or alloy heads, this 351 has iron 4v's, roller cam, Holley 830dp, a four into one stainless 4" system and what looks like a Funnelweb or TFC manifold, it puts out 500rwhp !!!! thats around 367rwkw i reckon, does anyone know this car ? i would love to know the whole setup including cam specs and headwork.
Ohh and they state this thing pulls 280kph down Conrod straight , the driver says standing on the gas in top gear it to overtake it will break traction.

from what i can recall car was in street machine fords last issue not current one, they talked about suspension mods, he also run's cal trac's, i think you will find that the rules around engine are fairly loose to what i know, as long as a factory cast iron block, iron heads and factory appearence outside you can run the roller etc, single carb. she is a tough looking car though.steer with your right foot type of car.

Yep thats the Tilley Green XY Falcon (its not a GT) that runs in Historic touring car, its got a serious roller cleveland, id say around the 580 hp mark @7500, awesome car and it goes REAL hard, its got a TFC manifold.
The rules are pretty strict on heads, capacity etc, the heads must be stock but the intake and exhaust are free.
There are a few little "tricks" they do to get around a few things but nothing we don't already know.
Im pretty sure they use 100 octane race fuel which gives a few extra HP.

They have to use unleaded like the V8s they stoped Racing fuel 12 months ago.
you can get unleaded race fuel, over 100 octane
