I went too Heathcote yesterday, i got a new PB of 12:70 at 109, however the time does not match the power i am running, i guess im still learning, it was my second time at the strip, anyway, at least it hooks up with the slicks now !!
Nice wheelie!
With that power and traction, all thats left is gear changing.
Your are right, the time doesnt match the power. Have you tried on any other dynos?

Introducing the Boss 290 powerplant
The Boss 290 combines the best of both worlds, with race-bred power and everyday comfort. The awe-inspiring Boss 290 is a powerplant unlike any ever built in this country and comes to life on Australia's only current V8 production line.
What i'm getting at, is it known to be generous? I did notice that some of brenxs other mates with mild set ups did fairly big power for their combos. They might just be freak motors, who knows.
I'm on the other end of the scale. I make 288rwhp, and i think it should make a lot more. The seat of the pants tells me it makes more, but as everyone said to me, get a 1/4 mile time.

I know what you are saying Dion, but i believe the dyno is correct, two examples, a 57 chev dynos 295rwkw at Hallam, it runs 11:40
An Xt GT with toploader dynos 250rwkw, it runs 12:30,
Looks like it's just me :(

Dyno's not known to be generous. Just the tuner knows clevelands as he used to race them himself. I don't think Nick's gear changes were an issue. There's a few things that happened that I think reduced the times. These things didn't happen at the track. MPH was stuck @ 109mph. Which was weird. I know myself Nicks car should show more mph and faster times. Something weirds happening but I'm sure it'll be found.
Seeing the slips Nick 60ft's quicker than myself but from 1/2 track onward the cars not doing what it should. A few people stated the track prep was ordinary compared to normal.
It could be as simple as a night @ Calder park.
It took us 8 pass's? I'm pretty sure it was 8 just to figure out the tyre pressure the setup liked. Nick was chirping slicks! Track prep maybe? We reduced the tyre pressure and the 60ft dropped .11. Bingo got that bit sorted
I've got a few idea's which I'll throw @ Nick and Nick can go from there. At the moment it's just a matter of time before the times fall. I should mention my times didn't happen over night. My wallet shows that It took me a long time and all I did was change suttle things. No cam/bottomend/diff changes .
