hi all l have a stroked 351 come 393 short block with no cam and inlet manifold. l only have a set of 4 dot 4v heads to put on, could anyone recommened a cam, inlet manifold and carby to put on, also l think the heads are stock,hopefully this engine can go into my xc gxl. l would greatly appreciate any advice and also what hp approx would a engine like this give out, thank you heaps regards Sickooli.

This is a street motor right? If using 4v heads i would use inlet tongues to broaden your torque curve. The cam realy depends on your own goal post's. Seeing you want the extra hp and torque of a stroker. Go and check the comp cams site or better still ring Graham at TFC as you cant go past one of his manifolds and he is a comp cam agent and knows a hell of a lot more than me. Remember the clevo went out of production quite a while ago and R&D is not alot with cam manufacturers, so a custom ground soild might be the go. Phone Crow or Camtech.

you could get up to 600hp out of that combo if thats what you want, parker/tfc/chi intake, around a .650' lift cam 260-270 @ 50, carb could be anything from a 750-950hp holley, if the heads are indead stock they will need some work with the gear i have said..

if your after something a little more street freindly you could go for a f246 or similar cam, 4v torker intake and 750 holley, your options are endless you really need to think what your intended use is then ask the Q mate... you def have a good foundation for a killer combo though..
