I have the mellings high Volume oil pump and pick up. Im off the opinion that if I can get away with building a sump for a fair price, then you can never have too much oil hanging arround, provided obviously, that it is baffled properly.

Have you made your own cank scraper, windage tray as well?

This sump is basically copying the $800+ high energy design. It is for cicuit racing / hard street use. Incorperates basic crank scraper, windage mesh, 8 litres capacity, diamond section with 4 gate valves to keep oil at pick up around corners/acceleration/deacceleration. Also stops all oil returning or climbing to the rear of the sump.
It takes more than a few hours but at least the money is in your pocket at the end. Just depends on your finacial situation and skills.
