High pitched whigne from the holley 650... any thoughts
got a 650 holley on a 351 clevo... while it idles after getting hot it has the highest pitch whinge comming out of it... its substantialy less under load...
any thoughts what i might be able to try to correct it??
Could be inadequate fuel pressure and the carby sucking the float chambers dry but more likely an air gap between the top of the carburetor called the air horn and the bottom assembly called the fuel bowl assembly due to warpage of the pot metal used to construct the carburetor or a similar air gap somewhere (spray some carb cleaner on the outside of the carb until you find the place where it blocks the gap and stops the noise).... but also ask Holley @ http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechSer....html#TechInfo they have a very good free online tech service.
