Ignition timing for 351C - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hi,
I am (still) trying to find out what timing setting to use with my MSD ready to run dizzy. Eg: initial advance and which spring/bush combination to use. I am experiancing pinging (closed chamber heads opend out) at around 90Km/h cruising on and off throttle. The vacuum advance is still there and I am reluctant to take it off.
Cam is Crow cams

2113675IN.33/73 286
EX.78/35 293
2700-5800 power range

Anyone with similar please let me know your settings.

I would guess 14 -16 intial plus 16 mech, forget to vac.
Mine doesnt like more than 30 total!
