Inlet Manifold 2V Clevo

What have you guys found is the best intake (best being out right best and then best value for money) to suit a mild 2V 351 with a C4.
Im looking at crow cam in the 2200 2500 rpm starting range. And I need it to fit under bonnet (XE).

Re: Inlet Manifold 2V Clevo

2V edelbrock performer is very underated in some quarters but as an all around manifold its hard to beat. Ive got one on my xw 351 ute with around 9 and a bit to one comp and a crow21686 advanced 4deg and its a great every day car that will run a hi 13 1/4. ive seen on a dyno 750hp holley,2V performer, open 2Vs and 9-1 comp with a crane f246 do 420tq at 4250 and 458hp @5900 so not a lot wrong with them.

Re: Inlet Manifold 2V Clevo

Another good option might be to wait for the new Edelbrock RPM Air Gap 2v intake to come out. They are due out in the middle of Feb. Here is a link to it: http://www.edelbrock.com/media/news/..._110204_b.html
Might be worth the wait.

Re: Inlet Manifold 2V Clevo

Good old Weiand Xcelerator single plain manifold is OK too. Even on relatively mild 351. You then have a manifold that suits both worlds if you want more later on. It's the same height as a stock 351 manifold, along with the performer. I can say the xcelerator's don't lack low down torque either, cam dependant obviously.

The above mentioned combos with a performer would do even better with an xcelerator. It will flow decently all the way to 7000, not that you're going that high, but the performers will start peak off @ high 5's.

Re: Inlet Manifold 2V Clevo

Cheers for the info guys. Weiand sounds good, (no I dont have the money, need something cheap) leaves room for mods later without having to buy another intake.

Best value for money and out of the box I think is the Redline Street Torker.
Most shops sell it for $399. Weiand 7516 sells for $549. Shop around mate !!!
Cain and Sydney Speed Supplies make some cheapies at under $300 !!!
They do the job !!!

Yup. It actually is larger than 2V ports. It's in between 2V and 4V. Good for heads with decent port work. The weiand matches the CHI 218cc 3V's quite well port wise.

In regards to the best manifold. I've found the squarebore factory ford ones (dual plane) are good. The edelbrock performer is a lighter version. You can make upto 210-220rwkw using one.
