whoa 2.6! Loose the tyres. Get some softer ones. Not necessarily wide ones either. Wide doesn't mean traction. Just some nice grippy tyres will do it for you.
Practice will sort your launch as XRFPV8 said. No-ones perfect first time out. My 1st time out in 18mths and I shifted 1st to 3rd and only got 1 good pass in. lol
Get out there and go some more and you'll get a feel for it. Tacho will help and so would a dyno as the tuner can tell your where your optimum shift point is.
I plan to get back on the track shortly and try and run some lower times. I'm looking forward to it
