Msd Isnt Rooted

How do i put my dizzy back in and get my car running?

I need to no i dont have my workshop manual with me

Get the number one piston on top dead centre. Put the distributor in pointing @ no1 lead. It should fire and run. Not very well but it'll run. Let it warm. Then turn the dizzy till you get the same idle speed you had prior. It's half arsed but it'll get you out of trouble till you get a timing light on it.

Yes. It won't fire if it's 180 out though. If that happens pull the dizzy out and refit it exactly 180 deg around

Ok so i did all that then all it did was a big key banger and smoke out the carby i think its around the wrong way im ganna try now ill be back soon

you can also pull no 1 plug out and put your finger over hole and flick mtr over till you feel the comp coming up,line up the degrees you want to set at on balancer then drop dizzy in pointing to number 1 with with the pickup just pass thepoint

dare say it was 180 out. It's always the way. lol. It's loads easier to remove a plug but without the proper tools it's hard.

Why do u have to remove a plug. You can hear the difference between compression and exhausts stroke.
