I've just had a hole rust through one of my mufflers, so am looking at replacing the pair of them. I've got a twin 2" system atm that sounds quite nice at idle with the cam lumping over(or singing at 6500!). I don't have the straight through type. Does any1 have any recommendations of which brand to buy or what you guys are running and are happy with, basically i want to keep a nice low note.
Motor is a warm 351 in an XA btw,

i use lukeys as they are straight through type but this is a 100 good answers question. people will stand by anything they have used and nothing they havent..cheers

On my previous ride, a 302ci Clev ZA Fairlane, I had a twin 2.25" system (in ACMS) by Lukey, even the extractors were Lukey. I had both mufflers rust out on me at the same time, so that was nice. Anyway, I replaced them with the same Lukey mufflers and didnt feel any noticable increase in torque from rusted Lukey mufflers to shiny new Lukey mufflers. So, next tax return time, I decided to redo my exhaust and a few other things, Didnt like what the lukeys where doing for me so I wanted to change. Its at this point that I must point out that I live 2 minutes drive from Gonzo's Racing Pipes, so I cruised on down there, asked about a similar system they hooked me up with an inhouse no name brand set up and ended up with a 29Hp increase and a 47Nm torque increase with the new exhaust and down-graded cam. So in regards to the last post, yes, this is a 100 good answers question

What was the price of Gonzos system? I am looking at getting a custom set of pipes for my engine.

I'd have to look for the receipts but it was somewhere around the $1800 mark.

ive used magnaflows with very good results straight through deep sound not to loud at idle but do open open up at throttle

I have a pair of genie s/steel 2.5 inch full polish in centre/offset new and will sell if someone wants them, unfortunately i have not heard them. Cost 420 new for pair and then i repolished them.

I have 2 1/2in twin sytem on my 4v/f246 powered XY with redbacks and they sound VERY tough at idle and 7k
