my xy wagon is back!!!!!!

unfinished half f**ked and very ripped off just wasted 6 months and ripped off several thousand dollars and no outcome just start again any suggestions because knee capping looks so much cheaper than going to court.

my new 351 is a block, cast pistons, second hand unprepped rods new milodon gear drive with a worn gear but hey its worth 800 bucks no bolts for anything and panel work to die for, 5 days worth of work which took 6 months alot of lies and deadlines and a car in pieces but hey i'm the bad guy for picking it up. how can people live with themselfs so called experts who are just backyard halfwits.

i wont say who for legal reasons at this stage but when i can the smear campaign will begin and will never end. what goes around comes around and the world is circular you know, i have been on this board for a while now and have recieved much(needed) advice on a 351/c10 combo and put that into place just a pity the engine builder car restorer couldn't( maybe he should sign up on fordforums he may just learn something) any advice on whats next just let us know

Re: my xy wagon is back!!!!!!

well from the start it was getting a 6cylinder 3speed manual borg rear drum brake front conversion to 351 clevo c10 xy nine inch and discbrake conversion the car was straight as a die 2 owner vehicle and i had already rebuit and lowered the suspension also it was getting repainted and a small amount of rust taken out
engine
2 bolt block prepped stock bore
fully prepped rods standard with arp bolts
4ma crank
svo solid cam 248@50
milodon gear drive single idler
2v heads 4 v valves screw in studs and ported and flowed to 490 hp
tfc 2v manifold and 780 vac sec
pacemakers stainless dual 2.5 exhaust
c10 stage 2 shift 5/6 clutches bands 4200 9" stall
28 spline 3.7 lsd 9 inch
i paid 4000 up front for parts etc
had a xe ute 351 fmx disc 9 inch and rego gave him that to have as well and had around 4000 left i ended up buying all the parts so far convo pros, tfc manifold, converter, genie s/steel mufflers pro ratchet shift, autometer guages etc
whats done is i have a car with the original six and gear box out guards and front trim off the guards have had 3 diff people work on them and now one is warped due to excessive heat build up while welding the interiour pulled out and floor coverings out a small amount of rust in rear guard been plated but not finished all my parts been put in back of car. and the disc brake conversion is done but discs and rotors trunions are in poor condition with rust and the like no lines hooked up rest of car had side strips and badges pulled off and thats where it stops. he wont pay up or pay back because i've picked up the car on a tilt tray and he sold my ute, i was lucky just to get it back only decent thing i did was document and photo every thing along the way digitally so i can show what was done at any given point. also have alot of extra marks and scratches and pitted chrome work thrown in for good measure

Re: my xy wagon is back!!!!!!

I was over letting people work on my car years ago. The only exception is painting/panel and gearbox building. I got stuffed around too much, so started building my own motors, and doing 90% of the work myself. I then only have myself to blame.
Saying that, if you pay good money for quality work to be done, that is what you should get. I just get sick of constant letdowns, and then the urge to do some "capping".

Re: my xy wagon is back!!!!!!

Thats a large job for a company to pull off. I doubt all of it would have been done in house. So you'd have various companies working to their own schedules. Most places on average take 2-12mths for a decent engine. Body work? The skys the limit. Sounds like it was kept outside.

You would have been better to farm out individual jobs like brakes for example to someone who's an expert in that field.

To cut costs the only way is to do it all yourself.
