I'm hoping that somewhere out there someone can help me with the original camshaft specs released/published by Ford for both the Phase III HO and the "still born" Phase IV HO. The latter is of special interest as it was rated "top secret" by Ford and never made it to the parts listings, nor were the specs ever put to print. Would welcome any feedback/leads available.

I dont have the exact specs on hand, but the Phase 3's used two cams. Both were around 300 degrees advertised duration. One had just under .500 lift, the other just over.

Dont know about the Phase 4 cams, but its really a moot point. The only Phase 4 i've seen had what appeared to be a straight GT motor in it. And since it also had factory air, that would rule out a weapon of a cam.

my dad has it, next time i'm round there i'll have a look... it has the exact specs of near-on every component of the early GT motors

I'm rather suprised by that - I didn't think the cams they ran were as meaty as that.

Can see it would still be a good choice of cam present day.

I would be very surprised if that's the case. They should be about boss 351 specs.
That's bigger than the cam in my car now and it's way faster than a phase 3 with similar weight and gearing.

Think I read somewhere yrs ago that the Phase 4 had a smaller cam than Phase 3 due to more efficient heads and inlet and the better body shape.
