Just wondering if anyone has tried a 950hp on their clevo or is it a bit of overkill? I tried a mates 830 annuallar on it and the improvement in the bottom end was unbelievable, i have not tunned the car yet, that will be happpening later this week. If it proves to be to big would anybody be interested in buying it? its only a 2months old......The engine is 378cubes, f260cam, afd alloy heads, wish i had have gone cast iron 4vs or stuck to the cast 2vs after seeing the gold xy from trick and manswetto! 600hp on pump fuel with cast 2vs and 393bottom end!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Is a F260 260@050? If so, thats a huge cam, and the 950 would be great for the strip.
A bit big for the street though, but than again, so is a 260@050!

Yes that is one tuff XY. Unbelievable HP with cast 2V's. 950 does seem a bit big for a street car but not for the strip. But i don't know a lot about all that stuff so its just my opinion. Depends on what the main use is i suppose.

Yeah its hard to say, i dnt really shit my pants in the car, but i raced my mates rx3, with a 13b turbo making about 350hp at the wheels, i had 4ppl in my car he had only 2ppl, at 150kays we were side by side, he did have alot of wheel spin in 1st and second, but he only really gained wat i jumped him down low so i dnt know it must go ok, just felt heaps stronger with the 830, some of the tune shops recon u dnt need to play around with the hps that much, others do?? Dnt know anybody had much experiance with tuning a large carb on a clevo???
I'm running a 950HP on my 357 stuffed 4v headed street engine. I ran an 830 annular before that and the 950 is better from the top to the bottom. The main advantage of the 950 is that it has the same venturi size as the 750, so the velocity through the carb is a lot higher than the 830, which has the same size baseplate, but bigger venturis. I really don't think that the 950 will be too big for your application. Clevelands love lots of carburetor.

The xy i mentioned is in the new Xtreme magazine, check it out! Did you have to play around with jetting and power vale sizes for the f1oo 357 engine?
I think I'm running one jet higher or lower than what comes factory. I was basically spot on for my a/f ratio when I had it dynoed. As far as powervalves, I had to put 3.5's front and rear so they wouldn't be open at idle. I was told to try the carb, I thought it would be way too big, but it worked out to make good power and drives great on the street.

the 950hp will be fine . im running one on my clevo and works far better than the 850 silver claw barry grant i had . with the 850 i made 381hp @the wheels and with the 950 i made 399hp@ the wheels . ive got a cam with 272@50 and the more carburettor u give a clevo the better it will be . they do love it .
