Is really that much difference between a Edelbrock Performer Manifold amd the Stock 4 - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hi, I was just wondering is there really that much difference or benifit in spending all the money to get a Performer Manifold on Mild 302 Street Engine? I know they work great for big rev's and big power but will it be that much more power on a Mild Street V8? Thanks for any advice.

edelbrock performer is not too far different from a stock manifold. The main difference is weight. Wont rev much past 5500rpm

I put one on a Mustang 351C I had a while back and it was definitely a good move. Car seemed to breathe better,
It looked 100% better and the weight saving was just a
bonus.
Rather than buying a new one , I'd be checking out the
classifieds , Trading Post or even cruise the swap meets.
You'll be surprised what you find for a fraction of the money.
Alloy manifolds clean up pretty easy and the best part is,
They never wear out.

I have one on the XA .. it's probably too restrictive for my combo but it works fine

Thanks heaps for your advice everyone. The main reason I would of wanted one was if it improved acceleration alot more than the standard Manifold. Thanks again everyone.
