Soild roller cams for street driving. List experiences here.

I'm going to redo my 351 Cleveland again this winter. This time I'm thinking of going with a solid roller street cam. I'm thinking solid roller as opposed to hydraulic roller because of the max rpm of hyd lifters (6500). I do go to the strip as often as I can and shift my present solid flat tappet at 7200.
(11.75 @ 116 mph)
I street drive the car a lot and it needs to live in stop and go driving for hours at a time.
What are your experiences with solid rollers for street driving?
I know I can get one ground with street profile ramps, but want to hear how they work in the real world from guys that actually have them.
Let the info fly...

Cheers.

Re: Soild roller cams for street driving. List experiences here.

hi, i found with my 262 degree@50" solid roller in my 383c with 190lb seat pressure springs damaged the collets with only 7,000kms on the clock.. they were the good machined collets not the cheap stamped ones.. the titanium retainers also showed some wear but these will probaly be good for 20,000kms.. i have now gone to 210lb seat pressure as recomended buy my machine shop so i think i may need to check my rockers more often to see whats wearing in the valve train before any damage is done... i shift at 6800rpm and run 11.44s @119mph.. cheers
