still deciding...few more Q's

ok had a look at the $200 302C and c10 yesterday, still got all the manifolds and carby (which hasn't been used for a while) but cause i'm using gas it doesn't matter, right?

It shouldn't cost too much to get engine pipes knocked up to go from the logs to my single 2 1/4" exhaust (for now...), yeah?

And how much for a new dissy cap, leads and plugs 'ish?

Will the tailshaft from the BW35 go straight into the C10?

Will i need a new alternator cause the one i've got is a reco that works great?

hmm...something else...

yeah that's it - cause the guy said it was in running condition but it has been sitting for a while, i really don't want to put it all in just to find it wont turn over, so what's the easiest way to get it running without any exhaust apart from the manifold? It'd be pretty close to my LPG setup which worries me, any suggestions apart from getting the pipes?

Oh yeah - rang my insurance, no extra on my $600 premium , even with extractors, suspension, etc...<img>

Before I begin I'll need to find a centre console and shifter (cbf changing the column), as well as all the engine bits and all that, which shouldn't go over $200 - second-hand radiator for $50, mounts and bits for cheap, yeah?

The tailshaft will work. Fire it up on the ground before fitting it with just the bellhousing bolted to the engine with a starter. just have to get fuel to it.

Re: still deciding...few more Q's

i thought you'd suggest something like that - the auto is still attached to the engine so i'd much rather put it all in as one rather than split it just to put it back together later - but yeah i probably should...
