Update TE Cortina Project Build
Now that I've worked out how to upload photo's I thought I'd share some pics of my current project. As my user name suggests I will be running a 351C c/w 2V OC heads which at 400' flow 498hp & 477hp @ 600' so we're hoping with the cam we've used will give us in the vicinity of 450-480. Nothing wild but enough to propel the corty quickly down the 1/4 mile.
Basically the engine goes like this;
Holley 800DP mech secondaries
'Supa Sucker' 2" spacer
2V OC Heads with Ferrea stainless valves int/exh with Isky 135lb Doubles with dampers.
Block is bored 30thou with a 4MA crank c/w shot peened/magna fluxed fomoco rods & TRW flat tops.
Cam is a solid low lift by Watson Cams based on Marty White ( John White Racing Engines ) recommendations. Int 510 Exh 519, Cam lift 295@50 with 108deg lobe sep. Duration is Int 298 & Exh 300. Range 3000-7000

I'll be running a C4 c/w 3-4500 stall with obviously 9" with gearing to be determined once peak power/torque is known. The car will be street registered in Qld with all applicable mod codes ie: Eng, Trans, Diff, Roll Cage ( 6 point ), Brakes, Fuel Cell. I'll be running the hoppers stoppers upgrade kit which incl. the same size rotors 290mm as the XR8 c/w twin piston PBR calipers. The rotors FRONT/REAR will be DBA cross drilled/slotted. At the moment the cage and mini tubs are done and the engine is run in. At this stage the build has slowed a little due to moving house but now that I've worked out the photo thing I'll be able to update my fellow FORD ( F**K OFF ROTISSORIES & DOOF DOOFS ) lovers.
