What Colour is you cleveland block? - Ford Forums

ok not sure if this in in the right forum, but I wasn't sure where...

So what colour have you painted your block? I have seen some pretty simple jobs that looks great, and some over the top jobs that can go either way...

I am about to paint mine in the next couple days so I was looking for some ideas, someones turned out really good?....

Brad (WPN-56L) just used VHT universal gold and it looks pretty damn good. set off with alloy heads though :)

Also in what style did you paint the block? Compressor/2 Pac? or cheapo spray can :)

ford blue all the way, unless its a cool showcar or hotrod where a body coloured block looks better.

i painted mine orange thought that was shiat then black wasn't happy then ford blue pretty satisfied

The models up to XC have to be painted blue. But the 'black' blocks that come out of the XD/XE models, well they look plain wrong any other color apart from the standard black with silver rocker covers.

I've got the black block type. Only ever had it black, but stays looking good after years, even with bugger all maintenence. The black hides everthing fortunatly.(good old spray can for me.. Its just a block that can hardly be seen in my car)

You left out the option for peeling blue

I'd like to go black and if I ever take the block out again i'll repaint it. But at the moment its just shite, peeling, faded blue!

Ford Competition Blue, just the way God intended.

Even the standard POWER BY FORD (tm) Rocker Covers.

My 302 headed 351 is in bits & about to get a coat of Car Plan blue engine lacquer.
On cleaning the block down I found its been- black, red, & blue!
