custom rods
Some bloke decided to cut the weights off of his rods. This kind of "custom" work is the result of stupidity. This is an excellent example of what not to do with your rods. If you've got nothing better to do with your time, why not take your rods to the grinder? Who needs all that extra metal on the big and small ends of the rods? It is amazing what guys will do for some perceived performance benefit.
