Whine from my MSD

My MSD has started to make a whirring sound from idle and it gets louder as I raise the revs and then it stops. It has had minimal use only. Is anyone familiar with this? It's an 8350 ready to run type? Is there anything to grease on it?
The spies will be having a chuckle right now

mate i run the same dissy with no noise at all. I woul stop running it and check the gears asap. you might have worn the gears on either dissy or cam.

on a side note, I have a MSD 6AL which makes a noise, which i am guessing is standard and ok because of the cap. inside.

My MSD6AL wizzes away when the motor is running. Mine is mounted in my car, so i can hear it quite clearly while driving.

Re: Whine from my MSD

The noise seemed to coincide with having the timing adjusted. I ran a stocker for over 200,000Km and never had a problem.
