I'm the new kid on the block and have only built one 351C and one 302W and have much to learn, but I just love the challenge of turning a large lump of cast iron (with 8 big holes in it), into a fire breathing animal.

What a feeling of accomplishment when you're pounding down the road powered by a motor you built. I've got another 351C and a 302C that I'm looking forward to building. Just got to finish this damn shed.

Only done one, but I'd love to do another. Went pretty damn good too... now all I have to do is shove it in my wagon as it's awaiting transplant...

I didn't put mine together but I did all the reseach and part collection for my 393 alloy head engine .
Maybe next time I will have a crack at the assembly to .

I have done the last 2 complete builds of my 351, including setting up of the valves, selecting matching springs/retainers/locks and getting spring pressures correct. I originally thought it was going to be hard, but found out it was quite easy, if you are thorough and keep everthing nice and clean.(and use common sense. hehe)

I had one built by a "you beaut" engine builder here in Brissie cost me $9000 it went hard for the first 2 laps of Qld Raceway then piston hit the valve and it was f**ked best $9000 i'll ever spend "NOT".
Now I build all my engines and for other people as well.
It's amazing how an engine that you build yourself sounds totaly different to one that costs you big $$$'s, must be the satisfaction of an engine being started for the first time and hearing it purr.

I've built all my own engines so far and many for other people as well including holden and chev v8,s,ford sixes as well as a triple weber 208 holden six. I,ll be the first to admit that i've made mistakes as well but i won,t make the same one twice.
