Who would bother building a stroker (read performance engine) and put in triple groove valve springs ?

Did you mean he has tripple "groove" valve locks or springs? Probably double springs with a dampner. I'd assume the valve locks were "single" groove machined?

The Teflon "SEATS" sound interesting though!! I wonder what the seals are made out of then?
