I'm thinking of selling the XA GS and buying an XC GXL that i have seen. The XC has had a recent respray which looks imacualate in some sort of gold and is lowered, it also has a 351 Clevo and is auto. The 351 dosent have a carby and the car dose not have a RWC and is not registed. How thirsty are mild 351's? How easy is it to get 300 HP at the fly from an XC Clevo? $3500 is being asked for the XC, is this worth it?

Well it's not all that hard to get 300hp out of te clevo,but it will be a little thirsty, they are a nice looking car the GXL's,as long as it's a clean example and your happy with it,than look into it,but have a good look at it 1st,with no reg or RWC you should check it out carefully,depending on what has really been done to the car, will determine the price, it's a little hard for us to say yay or nay without seeing it.

$3500 for an XC that doesn't have a carby? How can you be sure that it runs okay. Sounds a bit pricy for me, but then again, if the body work is mint....

I'd pay $3500 for an XC GXL if it had some dollar's spent on the paint and the car,like he said it has had a respray but it all depend's on how much was spent on the car previously, can you get us any photo's of the car XA fairmont, it would make it a little more easier to comment on this vehicle.
