Hi guys,
Have a bit of a curly one.
I have rebuilt an XB built in 1973 as stated on tags. This car is running an XA GT wiring harness..... from factory??? who knows!.
My question is this, I have purchased an XC electronic dizzy as this is the only model that had the larger 13mm end shaft for the early blue block clevo., How do I put it into the wiring of the car , what goes where.... Who can help me????????.

From memory....

Purchase a module for a XD. Put in a small aluminum Dick Smith enclosure using heatsink and mount it next to the the radiator. The the two terminals on the low voltage side will form a loop with the distributor. The two terminals on the high voltage side go to the coil. The module is nothing more than a relay. 12V ignition still goes to the + terminal of the coil as does the tacho wire to the - terminal of the coil.

or

Buy an MSD and use the signal from the distributor as a signal for the MSD.

The dizzy already has a module mounted to the side, so do I need to buy another one? sorry not really well versed on electronic ignition.

If that Dizzy has the module it could most likely be an XD one with the smaller shaft.Just check the size.
If you need a wiring diagram for an XC one PM me your email and i can scan the factory wiring diagram for you..The XC dizzy uses the big separate box.
