How are youre rebuilds coming along?

I am not doing a rebuild. My block/bottomend is 3 years old. I've just replaced 2V heads with alloy 3V's as they didn't make enough torque or hp.

The difference:

2V heads tuned on slicks struggled to do a 2m burnout (no brakes)
CHI 3V's untuned on slicks I dropped a 100m burnout no worries (no brakes)

I'd say I've had a large hp/torque increase purely because I don't have any traction and it's running like a dog. Once it's tuned it'll behave itself. If I can I'll get it too the track soon. Just scrounging the $ to get it tuned.

It would vary on how you purchase the heads etc. I puchased the heads bare and got parts at a significantly reduced prices. Off the top of my head I don't think my heads totalled over $3100. That's for the 218cc 3V's. HP/Torque differnence I can only go by feel till the car hits a dyno. Going by feel I've had a substancially large increase.

Going by the CHI website they are $3700 competition assembled.
