hi has any body removed a steering box out of a xy with a 351 clevo and extractors any tips without removeing engine or extractors

Damn near impossible unless you want to take off your brake booster and lift it out through the top!

yeah ill further that probabley easier to pull extractor off

if u get it out without removing extractors then u can try mine, 351, extractors in an xr, hehe have fun!

Those old XR/XT steering boxes are the worst to get out.Having a solid steering shaft as part of the steering box was a very bad idea.I think if I had an XR/XT and I had to change the steering box,then I would try to fit an XW/XY steering column and box instead!!
