Some exhaust note change. Idle shouldn't change much if at all. Reset ECU (battery off/on) to help ECU adapt. Don't expect a big difference esp with E7 heads. Lift increase is only of benefit when the heads can flow more at higher lift. The exhaust and extractors will be the big difference offers in your planned setup. 1.7's are good for future possibilities though. Porting??? GT40-p's???

I reckon the idle is a bit more lumpy than standard with my st2027s installed. Exhaust note is different as well - it's definitely louder than before, and a little bit of a drone at around 80km/h.

As already said, there may be a little difference to exhaust note but there isn't that much difference. Idle will not change as the stock cam is small even with the 1.7 ratio.
after i put the gt40 manifold on i noticed a completely different exhaust note....much deeper...
anyone got a rough idling injected windsor??? i've never heard one that has a hot carbied motor idle sound/quality.... i could always pull a vacuum line off to get the desired effect :)
