Basically to anyone who can help, i am just wondering how much work and money would be involved with putting a 250kw 5.6lt engine out of a t series into an XW falcon. I expect there to be a bit of stuffing around because of the wiring etc, but is it really that hard?
Should not be too much of a drama......But your gotta get a T3 motor, computer, wiring loom, co2 sensors, speedo drive, etc, but still can be done..

Theres a retro XYGT floating around vic with an EFI windosr under the bonnet.
Theres not much difference in heights etc & there aint no way it would cost $10,000 unless that price includes the motor.
Goodluck finding one tho...

I'd sugest to source a wreck like a late model XR8 and go from there, that is unless you can find a T3 with all the bit's, but I would say this would be very rare.

probably easier and cheaper to get a normal 5 litre EFI and stroke it and work it .. unless you specifically want the T3 setup for some reason.
yeah i was thinkin of this, but im keen on doing it as quick as possible and if i could find a complete running engine that is ready to drop in would be a total plus.

Yeah that is also an option, but i am keen on the 250kw, im not real familiar with au xr8 and how much more cheap power can be extracted from the 5 litre.
I'm very keen on doing something like this in the near future for the reason that i would have something that no one else has.
How much do you's think a complete engine would cost?

Four speed will bolt straight up !!! 302 and 351 have same b/h bolt patern...
Cost to efi 351 about the same or less than buying a T3 with all the goodies...
Check E-bay they have heaps of efi stuff and it doesn't cost too much to post fron USA as parts are under 20Kg...See the guys at Austrack they are just around the corner from where you are ...They sell aftermarket parts...
Infact I know where I can get efi fuel rail, 70 mm maf...
