I am rebuilding a 91 302 for my 88 Thunderbird. I am looking for some input on cam shafts and heads. I want to give the 302 a mild cam and decent heads, just looking for some added power, but nothing crazy. I hear the gt40 heads are good but would they be worth getting for the price? I'm still in college so price is an issue, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

GT40 heads would be great for a budget. If you get the cobra rocker arms with the heads I would leave the cam alone, if you dont get the rockers go with a 1.6 ratio and get the ford motorsport E303 cam. It has a slightly more aggressive idle, I had the GT40p's with some valve and port work and they did awesome. The 40p's are a better head than the 40 but less user friendly, so I would go with the GT40s. But you are on the right page for a budget build. they dont have to be aluminum heads either, they are nice to save weight but they flow the same.
