I've nearly finished a 302 Windsor conversion and was wondering if anyone could make some suggestions for some quality heads for near future replacement? I'll also end up power porting them regardless. The ones i have have been ported n polished, but if a significant improvement in power can be made from new heads i'll be up for it.

Where do you get your stuff power ported, I remember an article in zoom (centura w turbo 265) years ago but cant seem to find info on where to get it done except for the extrude hone stuff in the states
Cheers

ay BLUE66COUPE in regards where to get stuff extrude honed (power ported)ive had all my stuff done by a place called ABRASIVE FLOW ENGINEERING at mt druitt in NSW #(02)98321177 and cant recommend them enough....
what do they charge, and how how cfm can they get the 302 heads flowing?
The 302 heads dont have much meat on them, better to get a set of 351heads ported, they flow quite a bit more.

Just rememeber when porting heads and manifolds, its not only where you remove material, but also where you DONT remove it...

thats the beauty of exrude honing because it flows through the port it only removes material that is restricting flow and leaves material that isnt thus retainin port shape and high gas speed ...plus it gets into areas a diegrinder cant and leaves a more superior(almost mirror) surface finish and your only lookin at about $600..
The Extrude Hone works by pushing an abrassive compound through ports etc
Polishing yes efi carb no, need roughness to keep fuel in air..No majer gain though..
If $$$ no object get heads from Ed Curtis http://www.flowtechinduction.com/
