347 dyno results

just had my zc on the dyno with the new motor. Only thing i'm not happy about is the car was running on premium with nulon octane booster, as BP had run out of ultimate 98, and that's what we built the engine to run on. Don't know if it has affected the results at all.
Combo is 347
Pro topline 180cc heads
torker inlet manifold
comp cams 294s
750 mighty demon, 1 inch spacer
k&n 14x3 air cleaner
1 5/8 genie 4 into 1's
twin 3 inch exhaust with x pipe.

will run it again once i have the funnel web on it. I think that should open it up a bit.

Is the 180 cc the intake runner volume on the head?

Yes it is. Protopline make a 180cc, 200cc and a 215cc. All with the same size exhaust runner.

Re: 347 dyno results

Very similar power to my 347 mines ~320rwhp. Mines EFI and hasn't had my bigger injectors and MAF fitted yet. Nor has it been tuned. Do you know what rpm it's peaking at?

Re: 347 dyno results

Can anybody tell me why Matt's dyno graph peaks really quickly, while mine goes gradually?

Is it just the type of graph that was printed that makes them different?

It's peaking at about 6100rpm.

Pretty sure it's just the scale used by the operator of the dyno.

Re: 347 dyno results

Anyone think not using 98 octane fuel could have hurt my results? I used 95 octane plus an octane booster. The engine was built to run on 98 only.

Re: 347 dyno results

I have run straight 95 and can not tell the difference.

Whats the comp ratio?

Lots of people say with alloy heads you can run 11.1 and use 98.

Re: 347 dyno results

I run 11.1 on BP Ultimate in my 347 with no dramas.I know a few blokes that run 11.5.1 on the Ultimate with no problems.
