it depends which brand you buy, but usually between 2k and 3k i think
C.O.M.E. racing has their 347 stroker kit on special at the moment for $2300, well last time i looked they did anyway
SCAT is another fairly common brand

A stroker kit on its own will give you 20-30kw and will cost $2-3k for the kit only. Because of the stress the stroker puts on the block, a fair bit of money has to go into strengthening and making sure all the components are top quality. A stroker built cheaply will normally not last very long. At a minimum, I would probably expect to pay $4-5k for a short motor, then you need heads, induction, cam, fuel system etc to get the most out of it.
Don't mean to be a kill joy but a stroker on stock E7's and HO manifold isn't going to be much fun at all - grab some GT40P's and Explorer manifold from one of the importers to make it breathe a little easier - the $1600 extra will make the effective airflow needed by the stroker to produce good power and torque.

The 2 drag racers addages
1. If you are in control - you haven't got enough Horse Power...
2. If you throw it up in the air and it comes down - It's too heavy...

1996 NL V8 Fairlane Ghia, YBESLO White, Grey trim, 16" V5 Simmons, LOW
Squeezed is nice, stroked is good, blown is unbeliveable - but all 3 is heaven
I'd like to see a 347 with E7's and HO for a bit of a giggle, I don't think it would rev much above 4000rpm, not that the stock motors do either.......

When you say this, do you mean they will break with normal driving, or won't last long doing 6800rpm with 550bhp?
