Hey guys

Im looking at making a 351 for ym 4x4 hilux.

the plan originally was for a 302, but i like the extra cubes idea for the ute. im in the search for somewhere over 400hp.

now heres my questions to you all,

i have a worked set of 302 heads - will these work on the 351?

i have a boss 302 harmonic balancer - will this work?

i also have a set of hi comp 4.030 venolia pistons currently in my 302 (needs lower comp ones as im supercharging it) will these work?

naturally the edelbrock rpm manifold and 650dp should be fine too??

before you start down this path. check with QLD transport wether they will register an old windsor engine number in a Hilux. I am certain you can only put an equivalent year engine or newer in. So what year hilux. WHat 302 engine do you have. over 400HP is easily acertainable with a 302 SC. i make 380 with no internal mods what so ever. I have heads and cam to go on and expect 430 there abouts.
other than that 302 heads yes on 351
302 balancer yes. as long as its an early.
manifold will only fit 302 (351 is wider)
and as for your pistons i say you should target about 10.5 to 1

as it turns out i cant fit one into a hilux as the bastards only have a short wheel base. But that in mind, landcruisers definitely have enough room!

shame i cant use the manifold - was the sole reason i was going for a 351 windsor. I might just go a 351 clevo as they are a lot cheaper and theres shitloads around. I think they might be better for easy hp too....
