Hey guys,
I just got my rebuilt 351W back and the guy at the machine shop bored it 60 over. This is a marine motor so it is an open system with raw water cooling. Have any of you ran into problems boring windsors? Should I expect this thing to blow up? I know that most people won't bore past 40. I would rather scrap it then have my boat catch on fire. Hope to hear from you guys soon!

351w are good for 60 thou (that's about it though). Clevelands are the ones with very thin ( and inconsistant) cylinder bore walls, 40 thou max for them.
Did your engine builder sonic test your block before boring it? it would have been cheap piece of mind if he did.

I wouldn't be concerned about the .060 overbore. I've done it several times and never had a problem. And it is HOT here in Florida.
