351 windsor or cleveland

does anyone know if my 88' ford bronco xlt 4x4 has a 351 windsor or cleveland? if it is a winsor is the motor a good one or crappy, and would it be worth fixing the engine up, also how do i tell if it is a big block or small block, and also how do i tell if it is high ouput, and what is so special about high output, oh and the 351 is fuel injected

Re: 351 windsor or cleveland

The 351Cleveland was never made with fuel injectioin, atleast not to my knowledge. As for fixing it up if your plans are too keep it fuel injected you don't have much choice, but the windsor aren't bad engines they have more performance parts availiable. Also they have a higher likelyhood of passing an emission test. If your plans are for a pure race carbed power mustang or whatever you may want to pursue a 351Cleveland.

88 Bronco..Unless its from California? It will be map sensered with long inlet designed for torque...But bassically a good motor...The same inlets that fit 302's usually have the wider lower manifold for 351's, even the GT40 Ford has 351 lower for them..The Lightning used them...They are a good base motor to add things on latter if you want...
