I am buying a Windsor which is fitted with the Eagle 393 stroker kit.
Are there any inherant weaknesses?

In what way?? It depends on power level and rod, piston combination.Eagle have it sorted fairly well these days..Most problems with any stroker engine other than wrong combo / inferier parts is incorect assembly, clearances...

hey im actually running a 408 Eagle stroker kit in my windsor except with clevo heads. Using a standard 351 w block ive been told 700HP and 7500rpm was the limit and not too push it any further. As far as the kit goes the 4340 crank is the one to get, combined with eagle H - beam rods which come with hi tensile ARP rod bolts shouldnt really have a problem. We took the theory that its best to make your bottom end as bullit proof as possible, so we didnt need to tear it down any time soon or spend money again if and when shit broke, so we had the crankshaft internally balanced, and added a stud girdle for extra insurance. I guess just the normal stuff like getting your block sonic tested is a definate must and also check the water chamber while the plugs are off for any pits in the cylinder bores. Other than that there isnt really any other weaknesses. Hope that helps :)
