Advice needed on Intake stuff.

My friend i selling me the following:

AU V8 upper and lower manifold with manifold gaskets
AU throttle body
EBGT MAF
24# injectors
Fuel rail and injector wiring loom

Total cost $1500 which is installed. The part are all unused as in never been on a motor.

Is this a god price? What is the size of the AU throttle body (I assume its a standard one?) and what is the size of the MAF? Will this stuff work with my PCM?

Thanks

Re: Advice needed on Intake stuff.

Sounds like a good deal to me NZ. If the AU intakes are anything like the explorer ones your doing well, around $500. The AU tb's are woth $450 new from ford and are normally 65mm as opposed to the 58mm standard. EBGT maf has to be bigger than the standard e-series maf so your in front there, about $600, not sure as to the size but anything bigger than 55mm is excellent. 24lb inj. are worth about $600 alone and fuel rail and injector loom from an EBGT are hard to find also. Plus your getting it fitted which is half a day at least. Yes well I say your absolutely laughing with that price considering the parts are brand spanking new! You lucky bastard! DO it!

Re: Advice needed on Intake stuff.

The Au manifolds are the same design as the EB GT except the lower is cast alloy versus steel.

If anyones interested he has 2 other manifolds spare he'd probably sell

Re: Advice needed on Intake stuff.

The AU's run an explorer manifold. Same lower at the GT40 as used in the EB & EL GT, but the upper doesn't flow as well, somewhere around 160-170cfm compared with 200-210 for the GT40/cobra manifolds.

I think it is a good deal, especially installed. As shav said, you would probably be looking at over $1500 for similar second hand parts, and then a couple of hundred to install them.

BTW, fuel rail and injector loom is exactly the same as the stock one so you might save a bit there if he will seperate them.

Re: Advice needed on Intake stuff.

Grant, the AU manifold have to be better flowing than the E-series manifolds right?

Do you think and aftermarket upper mated with the AU lower will still be ok?
