I drive a '94 F-150. I need to know about swapping my 302 for a 351 windsor. What do i need to buy in order to get the job done. I work with a lot of decent mechanics but they all keep giving me diferent answers on the specifics of what i need, new computer, conversion kit, etc.

You really need a complete engine, the wiring loom can be used but the firing orders are differant, 302 is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 351W is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 so you have to use a 351 Ecu or change the cam, the inlet and dizzy are not interchangable because of differant deck heights, 9.503" for the 351 and 9.2" for 302 and you will also need 351 fly wheel, 351 is 28 oz inbalance and 302 is 50 oz inbalance.

sorry but i have to correct you as the 302w and 351w share the same firing order, got a 351w spec cam in my ebII and still running the std eec, you might be thinking of the earlier windsors (not sure if they had the same firing orders).

the conversion should be a straght swap, as they share interchangerble parts. are you using a efi 351w or are you going to use a earlier block and fuel inject it? if you are using the earlier block you will have to buy a new manifold, as the lowers are differentbut you can use all of the 302efi hardware, inj, fuel rails ect....
