another issue air lock

took the falcon to ulladulla this weekend had two issues one i am sur ei know what it was , got to about 3700 rpm on freeway ( need better diff ratio i know ) was doin about 110 and smoke started to come from under car was trasnmission fluid from breather i think why would this happen , its a C4 i think the box could be a little overfull would this cause it ,


2: comin home sunday night and car was straving for fuel , electric pump was pumpin like tank was empty but had half tank , i pulled line off pump and just air came out , could the breather be blocked its an xy with a normal tank , and when i have been filling up lately its been squirting fuel at me if i pump it in too fast , its only just started doin this , after i blead the tank ab bit the pump started pumpin and building preassure enough to cut out like it supposed to before it was pumpin its ass off and was pretty hot any ideas or advise pls thanks

1. Trans may be overfull but more likely overheated. Does it have cooler?; is it connected to radiator? Was the floor of the car hot?
Prolonged high revs, hot day!?!? Trans has to be cool and engine has to help keep it there.
2. If it's Holley fuel pump, check that vanes are free to move (in base of pump). Sometimes they have temporary seizes and pump bugger all and then will be normal. Also remove breather hose, blow it out and check metal fittings at each end of hose as well for blockage.
