Another question about power

I currently own an auto EL GLi V8 and I decided a while ago to get myself an EL XR8 instead but now I am kind of deciding against it as I dont have the cash right now. My EL is stock except for an exhaust and I was wondering how much power I should expect (in rwhp) if I were to bolt on a Trickflow manifold. I also plan to put on an XR8 snorkel and K&N filter shortly aswell. Also can anyone recommend any mild upgrades that will keep me happy for a while such as cam and chip kits etc.

Cheers

Re: Another question about power

Unless you want the 'eyes' nose cone and front electrics, keeping the GLi is a better option.

Simple improvements like slightly bigger cam, 1.7 rockers and good flowing heads will help. Compliment it with a good set of extractors and sorts exhaust you will find the power matches if not betters the XR.

Re: Another question about power

imo in this order...
1:72 roller rockers and 70mm maf...
Good heads, inlet, throttle body...
A 2031 cam could be fitted when heads, inlet are
replaced...
24 Lp injectors maybe required with 70+mm maf...
