I have just bought a AU Series 111 Fairmont Wagon, with 5.0l V8.
Is this the Cleveland or Windsor V8 ?
I noticed in the Owners Manual, that the spark plugs are different, right to left sides. Right AWSF 32EG, Left AWSF 32E. Change every 150000kms. I assume they are a platinum plug ? Whats the reason for the different spark plugs ? Replacement cost ?

All V8 since EB's are Windsor V8's. I have no idea why they list different spark plugs for each side. I run AU 220kw heads on mine ED and just use NGK Iridium plugs which cost about $18ea, although I have been told there are cheaper options.

Thanks EDXR8. I agree,I have never seen an engine with 2 different types of spark plugs. The difference must be minimal.

Are the heads the same on both sides? I can only think that the spark location in the chamber is different in each...or maybe the orientation of the spark plug when its fully tightned up...
