The only cold air intake I can find for Au xr8's is the SS inductions unit.
Anyone know of any others to do a comparison with.

It has been shown that the AU XR8 snorkle will provide more than enough air for around 240-260kw, so I would just say stick with it. The SS one can flow more air, but unless you have some serious mods on board, it will not give you anything.

One Ford Drone

A cheaper alternative would be to cut a hole under your airbox and lead some tube to the front of the car from the airbox.

i was after a T3 cold air setup for mine,but being a stocker it just wasnt worth it... the standard setup flow quite well...just fit an aftermarket panel filter...

Begining to think that now.

Just before Christmas or just after I will my Exhaust, Extractors,Bmc filter and chiptorque chip. Will leave the cold air intake alone for now.

I infact got an SS induction kit from a contact. Had it for months now and haven't fitted it after seeing its not much better than the Tickford one anyway. Plus it doesn't look as good as the genuine one and obviously the Tickford logo looks heaps better than having SS.
Its only worth changing once you have changed your complete exhaust.

I made up a stainless steel scoop and placed it infront of the Tickford one, and it works pretty good. It cost me nothing as I had it lying around. I will try and get a picture up here soon
