My mate is has droppped a injected 302 into his Courier & is having clearance issues with the sump & is after one with the oil gallery at the rear rather then at the front & unfortunately they don't bolt on backwards, so soes anyone know if anyone makes a sump with this setup or where he could get one.

off the topic of the sump, i remember seeing in magazines when the windsor was being re-introduced in the EB ford made a couple of couriers with 5 litre's as promo cars. pity they never actually sold em.

back on topic, wouldnt you be able to get one from a (USA) ford ranger? there basically a courier with a V6 or they had an optional windsor. any engine importer should be able to track one i'd imagine

I'm not sure we haven't looked into it much yet I thought the F-series or some other model may have come with a reversed sump setup but thought someone on here would probably know rather then spend hours phoning around or searching the net but that is another idea thanks.

just find out off them if its exactly what you want. i'd hate to see you buy a sump and get it home to find it wrong... lol keep in mind the ranger sump might be different in that it might have an indent for clearance of left hand drive gear (never seen one so dont know.....).

have you checked the oil pump for clearance as the courier will require the bulk of the sump to be at the back

a friend of mine fitted a 253 to a courier around 8 years ago & has since replaced it with a 308 & has done heaps of interstate trips in it

he initially ran a small radiator & increased its capacity by running water through the alloy bull bar, we always got a laugh when he pulled up for a chat & somebody would lean on the bull bar & then

it now has a custom radiator fitted & it all looks factory as its all including the engine painted the deep maroon color the same as the body

Mate u need a 302W Bronco dual hump sump and pickup !!! I have one in Townsville ??? They are rare to find. I had a custom Hi-Energy made up and it cost around $400. Can freight through Busfreight.

He has bought a bronco sump fits perfect but he got pumped on the price $300.
