I am in the market for a set of Battern Underdrive pullies (a chrissy present from the girlfriend beleive it or not), and i was wondering if i will have any problems with clearence of the pullies with my SS inductions snorkle. There is not much room as it is, and i was wondering if the increase in size of the pullies would cause clearence problems......
Ok then thanks heaps for that. I thought it was the pullies on the asessories that were bigger, but if it is the one on the crank that is smaller, then its all good.
Here is a current price list for the Batten Products. I must say that they were very professional, and i got a very quick response from them, which was great.
Stage 1 is a 2 piece kit that includes a new crank pulley and a new lenght belt to suit, It retails for $165 for the pulley and $67.00 for the belt. Recommended for street use, yeilds about 5-6kW's at the rears.
Stage 2 is a 2 piece kit that includes a new crank pulley and water pump pulley, it retains the stock lenght belt. This kit retails for $245.00. Recommended for maximum street performance, yeilds about 6-8 kW's at the rears.
Stage 3 is a 3 piece lit that includes a new crank pulley, water pump pulley and alternator pulley. This kit retains stock belt lenght. Recommended for performance street and stip use, yeilds about 8-11 kW's at the rears.
Which kits do people have. I am not sure which one to get???
Not only is it a single pulley kit, it is actually a smaller pulley as it is on the driving shaft (crank).
One thing... when you install the pulley, tell me whether you notice a change in exhaust note or not.
I've got the "stage 1" on mine but I cant tell if mine's changed the exhaust note. I've got to be honest too in saying that I dont really know if its made any difference at all, maybe because it dosen't feel different as I've got a lower ratio diff(3.27:1). Does that make any sense??
