Hi guys, I have just bought a liquid silver, Manual AUII XR8. I have owned V8 Commodores my whole life and recently decided on a Falcon. Anyway my question is whats the best way to get power from my XR8? I am modifying it and I want to extract as much as possible from the 5.0L capacity. It is dead standard and I will fit an exhaust first but I have no idea where to go from there. Is the standard intake manifold restrictive? What else would benefit the engine and whats brands should I use. Thanks for any info you can give me, I am still very much in the dark about what is good and bad about these cars.

You can go exhaust, inlet, heads, cam and then a chip and should be able to get 250fwkw to 270fwkw depending on the motor

I'll ask a more important question. What's the build date of your car (or can you confirm whether it's a 200 or 220kW engine)?

A 220 engine has a Tickford symbol engraved in the alloy throttle body and has an engine oil cooler fitted behind the grille.
