Build a Cobra Replica with someone elses money.
Hey guys,
I am an avid Summit reader and I love browsing the catalogues reading and making wish lists. I came across this article where 4 teams each get a kit Cobra, a crate for 5 litre Windsor, a donor car and 10 grand of Summit bucks to do it. I was really curious to see how they went as I though you would blow ten grand on doing the engine alone!!! But na, they did just about everything for ten grand.
Strangely enough they are all around the 11 sec quarters mark! I thoroughly reccomend you take a look.
Take a look, pay special attention to the Avondale team as I reckon they have inspired me to build a 400+rwhp small windsor for very low cost. They have a stroker crank for 250 usd for crying out loud~!~ Why haven't we been using them?
They use standard rocker arms with roller mechanical lifters and heaps of other goodies engine builders in Oz just dismiss as it wouldn't work. They have price and detailed breakdows on all parts used etc.
