Re: cam specs

See sig. But if I was going to change I'd look hard at the Crane Cams, split duration and more lift.Which makes it more tractable for street.Imo..
Or a custom cam from Ed Curtis or Budy Rawls U.S...
with 273 duration
555 lift
224 @ 50
114 lob sep Ideal turbo cam...

Don't be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark...Professionals built the Titanic!
Tuned & maintained by "Peppertree Perfmormance". Dart block, Scat 4340 steel crank, Custom C.P pistons.Oliver rods.. Mal Wood twin plate clutch.. Twin SC61/2's,482 rwkw/ 645 rwhp..
Passengers, myocardial infarction material..
R.I.P Possum...

Crane Cams 2030

Advertised: 270* inlet / 278* exhaust
50 thou: 216* inlet / 220* exhaust
Lift: .533" inlet / .544" exhaust
Lobe separation angle: 112*

IMHO, a pretty good camshaft. It has an idle that is a bit rougher than you would expect from the specs, but still has good low speed tractability. Plenty of lift - but watch the P/V clearances. From 2500RPM onwards, it builds a nice fat torque curve with a peak ~4K. It certainly gave my AUII much more top end power and willingness to rev.

I was given only lobe separation and max lift specs.
597 lift with 1.6 rockers but I'm running 1.7 so its well over 620
110 deg lobe separation.
As soon as I find out more about it, I'll post it up...
