Can you get a 302w 4V head?

Can you get a 4 valve per cylinder, cylinder head for an older model carby 302w?

I just thought that maybe you could because of the cleveland 351 4v.

I really hope you can it would be sweet. You would think it would flow way more.

And if you cant someone should produce one.

thanks

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

why have you looked at the variety of after market alloy heads on the market, there is surely one there that will suit your combo

std stroke, alloy heads, comp cam, tfs manifold, 75mm t/b, 70mm maf, 30lb inj, adj fuel press reg, twEECer

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

Nah I havent really had a look yet. I havent got a 302w in my corty yet. I just want to see whether it is the best option for me.

Being able to run an alloy 4V head with the 302w would go a long way into helping me to decide which engine to run.

So can you get em? Where? And for how much?

thanks

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

2v and 4v means Ventury..Or 2 barrel carb or 4 barrel carb..
There are no 3 or 4 valve heads in mass production...
4v was a Clevo thing...

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

the 4v heads were only on the clevelands, thay also only had 2 valves, but they were bigger valves than the 2v's and also had bigger ports than the 2v's.

what are you going to do to the bottom end, std stroke, long rod 302, 331,347 or 354?
turbo or n/a?
these will definetly help you decide what how much flow you will need and what head will best suit.

std stroke, alloy heads, comp cam, tfs manifold, 75mm t/b, 70mm maf, 30lb inj, adj fuel press reg, twEECer

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

Oh dear I feel like a bit of a tool now. I thought you could get a 351 clevo with 4 valves per cylinder.

I think I will be going standard stroke, along with a single turbo for street/strip. Any recommendations for the head to use for this set up?

thanks.

Actually, you can get one, but I think they're about 6000.00, US

Your std heads would breath o/k with turbo.Compression around or under 8.8 is better. But if you want MORE power or info check here....

So you can get a 4 valve head for a 302w after all.... It looks to perform well too. Shame about the price tag. One day...maybe.

thanks for that. I have seen some interesting things with single turbo 302w's there already.

Re: Can you get a 302w 4V head?

i would suggest a set of alloys as they can dissperse heat easier there for less risk of detonation, plus the added benifit of being able to flow more and better chamber designs than the stock heads
